LITERARURE ANALYSIS RESPONSE

"Top Ten Uses  for an Unworn Prom Dress"
By Tina Ferraro

Theme- The theme of the book is to never let anything bring you down no matter how bad the situation was even if the only easy thing you can do is to give up.

Tone- The tone of the movie is sarcastic and cheerful. Sarcastic because the author expresses herself by being humorous but serious at the same time.

Plot- Nicolette Antonovich got asked by "Rascal" to attend his prom. She paid her best friend's older brother to drive her around to find the perfect dress. Yet two days before the big date, Rascal cancelled saying he’s going with his off-and-on girlfriend who just moved back from Arizona. That was just the great way for Nic to end her sophomore year *I'm being sarcastic*. But she had the whole summer to cool down and plan out how her junior year is going to start off as.

Diction- The diction of this book is probably informal. Informal because it's written in a way how you would communicate with your friends or something like that. The book is written mostly for teens.

Syntax- I'm not sure how the author uses syntax in this book, but I'll soon post it. Haven't read the whole book yet.

Characterization- The only characters I have gotten to read about is Nicolette Antonovich, which is the main character of the novel. Rascal Pasqual, the guy who cancelled the date to prom with Nicolette. The last one is Nic's mom.
